Outsourced bookkeeping, BAS and payroll — Xero, fixed monthly fee
Clean, current books in Xero, BAS lodged by a registered BAS agent, payroll with STP and payday super done properly — and a one-page report each month you can actually read.
Bookkeeping-only starts at $390/mo for Xero ledgers up to 150 transactions a month: weekly coding, receipt capture, reconciliations, BAS and IAS lodgement, payroll with Single Touch Payroll, and a monthly one-page performance report. Most business clients bundle it with tax on the Company Growth plan at $595/mo so the books and the return never disagree.
The discipline is the point. Payday super means employee super is paid with every pay run — miss it and the penalties are automatic — so payroll runs on a fixed calendar with the super payment built into the process, not left for the quarter. Read the payday super employer checklist for what changed.
Books behind or in a mess? We quote a fixed rescue project first — feeds reconnected, duplicates cleared, unreconciled history worked through — then the monthly plan keeps it clean from there.
Who this is for
Owners doing it at midnight
You started the business to do the work, not to reconcile it at 11pm on Sunday.
Growing employers
Payday super and STP leave no slack for late payroll — it has to run on rails.
Businesses tidying up
Behind on BAS or carrying a messy ledger — we rescue it, then keep it clean.

Why BRS Advisory
One platform, done deeply
We standardise on Xero plus Hubdoc/Dext — it's what makes fixed pricing and same-week queries possible.
Registered, and accountable
Your BAS is reviewed by a registered BAS agent inside the same firm that does your tax — nothing falls between.
Built for the new super rules
Super now moves with every pay run. Our payroll process pays it with the wages, not at the quarter's end.
Questions, answered
What does the bookkeeping service cost?
Bookkeeping-only is $390/month ex GST for a Xero ledger up to 150 transactions a month, including BAS lodgement, payroll for a small team and the monthly one-page report. Higher volumes move to the next tier — always quoted before we start, never discovered on an invoice.
Why Xero only?
Because doing one platform deeply is what makes fixed fees, fast queries and clean handovers possible. Xero plus Hubdoc or Dext covers receipt capture, bank feeds and payroll for almost every small business. If you're on MYOB or spreadsheets, we quote a fixed migration first.
Who lodges my BAS?
A registered BAS agent inside BRS Advisory reviews and lodges every BAS and IAS. Agent lodgement also gives you extended due dates on most quarterly BAS — typically four extra weeks compared with lodging yourself.
How does payday super affect my payroll?
Employers now pay super with each pay run rather than quarterly, and late payment triggers automatic consequences. Our payroll process pays super as part of every cycle and reconciles it monthly, so the new rules are simply how your payroll runs rather than a compliance risk.
What's in the monthly report?
One page — cash position, profit for the month and year to date, who owes you money, what you owe, and how much GST and super to set aside. It's designed to be read in two minutes and acted on, not filed.
My books are months behind. Can you rescue them?
Yes. Rescue work is quoted as a fixed project after we look at the file — reconnecting feeds, clearing duplicates, reconciling the backlog and re-lodging anything the mess affected. Then the monthly plan keeps it clean.
Do you replace my current bookkeeper?
Sometimes we work alongside an in-house administrator who keeps doing invoicing while we handle coding, payroll and BAS. Other clients hand over the lot. Either way, responsibilities are written into the engagement so nothing is done twice or missed entirely.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Plans are month to month with 30 days' notice. If you leave, your Xero file is yours — we hand over cleanly, with reconciliations current and a closing summary for the next bookkeeper or accountant.
