Online tax accountants for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts
Chartered accountants who prepare, review and lodge your returns online — with a 20-minute video review before anything goes to the ATO, tax planning before 30 June, and a fixed fee you see before we start.
BRS Advisory lodges returns for every entity in your group — individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts — without anyone visiting an office. Documents move through a secure portal, signatures are electronic, and every return gets a 20-minute video review with your accountant before it is lodged, so you always understand the number at the bottom.
Straightforward individual returns start at from $180; returns with rental property, shares or crypto from
from $350 because they carry real CGT and record-keeping work. Business clients move onto a subscription — sole traders from $150/mo including quarterly BAS, companies and trusts from $295/mo — so tax, BAS and planning are one predictable fee rather than a surprise invoice each July.
The compliance work is the floor, not the job. We review structures for Division 7A exposure, apply the small business CGT concessions when you sell, time deductions and super contributions before year-end, and handle ATO correspondence — assessments, reviews and payment plans — on your behalf.
Running a business as a sole trader? See the dedicated sole trader tax and BAS package. For companies and family trusts, the company and trust tax page covers financial statements, distributions and Div 7A in detail.

Questions, answered
How does an online tax return actually work?
You sign up online, verify your ID and get a short portal checklist asking only for what your return needs. We prepare the return, then walk you through it on a 20-minute video call before anything is lodged. You e-sign, we lodge with the ATO, and the lodged copy stays in your portal. No office visit at any point.
How much does a tax return cost?
A straightforward individual return (salary and deductions) is from $180 ex GST. Returns with rental property, shares or crypto start at $350 because of the CGT and record-keeping work involved. Business entities are priced as fixed monthly subscriptions. The exact fee is confirmed before we start — never after.
Can you handle rental properties, shares and crypto?
Yes — that's the complex individual return. We calculate rental schedules, dividend and franking income, capital gains on shares and crypto disposals, and apply the CGT discount where it's available. Exchange reports and broker statements can be uploaded straight to the portal.
What happens when the ATO writes to me?
Forward it to us — or, since we're your registered agent, most correspondence comes to us first. We interpret it, tell you if anything is actually required, and handle reviews, amendments and payment plans on your behalf. Dealing with the ATO is included, not an extra.
Are you registered tax agents?
Yes. Returns are prepared by chartered accountants and lodged under our Tax Practitioners Board registration. Using a registered agent also puts you on the agent lodgement program, which generally gives you later due dates than self-lodging by 31 October.
When is my return due if I use BRS Advisory?
Most clients added to our lodgement program before 31 October receive extended due dates under the ATO's agent program — often well into the following year, depending on your history and entity type. We confirm your exact date at onboarding and send reminders well before it.
Do you do tax planning or just lodgement?
Planning is the point. Before 30 June we review your position — trust distributions, Div 7A loans, super contributions, timing of income and deductions, small business CGT concessions — while there is still time to act. Every business subscription includes a tax planning call.
I'm behind on returns. Can you fix that?
Yes. Overdue and prior-year returns are quoted per year before we start, and we deal with the ATO about penalties and payment plans as part of the catch-up. Most multi-year backlogs are resolved in a few weeks once documents arrive.
